Gonstead Method
The five pillars at a glance
Every spine is connected. A neck that won't stop aching is often a pelvis that's been tilted for years. Before we adjust anything, we find where the real problem lives.
Visualisation
See the whole picture
Before touching your spine, our chiropractors carefully observe your posture, gait, and body mechanics. Subtle asymmetries — a dropped shoulder, an uneven hip — reveal patterns of strain that x-rays alone cannot show.
Instrumentation
Heat never lies
The Nervoscope instrument glides along your spine detecting heat differentials between vertebrae. Inflammation and nerve irritation produce measurable temperature changes — giving us an objective, machine-verified map of where your nervous system is under stress.
Static Palpation
Feel what the body holds
With trained hands, we feel for swelling, tenderness, and muscle tightness at each spinal segment. These physical changes in tissue texture confirm what instrumentation flags — narrowing the exact vertebra causing your problem.
Motion Palpation
Where movement stops
We gently move each joint through its normal range of motion. A restricted or "stuck" segment that won't move freely is a subluxation — the root cause of nerve interference. We treat only the joints that have truly lost their motion.
X-Ray Analysis
Precision you can see
Full-spine x-rays are taken in the standing, weight-bearing position — exactly how your spine functions in real life. We measure angles down to fractions of a degree so every adjustment is targeted to the precise level, direction, and vector your spine needs.
